Starting The Declutter & Savings Jar

So, ever since my husband and I decided to embark on the full time RV journey that has been the main focal point of my days. I dream about all the quality time my family and I will have enjoying all God has created.

I decided to start a savings jar and put a little inspiration around the house for myself. While adding inspiration, because anyone who knows me knows I can't save money to save my life, as my Pap would say "money burns a hole in your pocket!" and boy was he right about that, but I am determined to be in our new RV home on or before May 2017. (I am hoping for the before part to be honest)

So, I decided I would try to sell off items I know for a fact we will not use between now and when we would move out, and these items are obviously not going to go with us. It is really freeing to watch the items leave the house and the money collect in my jar.

I have inspired my 9 year old to start a savings jar, although his is all pennies it's a start and pennies add up, right?

So, the items I am selling are mostly old baby clothes that I was saving which let's face it most times we purchase new ones anyways with each child, and since we know we want more but are unsure when I won't be using them anytime soon. The best place I have found to try and sell baby clothes are the online yard sell sites on Facebook.

If you are trying to sell off your items I would suggest going at it one room at a time and start with items you either #1 have not used in the past year or #2 know for a fact you will not use in the next year. Once you do this you can always narrow it down more as you get closer to your "pull out" date. For example our dressers and beds we obviously can not get rid of until we have our RV and are almost ready to leave, so they have to wait.

The other thing I have been doing lately is more online "work" trying to get my blog out to everyone, as well as finding other sources of income that can come with me on the road. It's a bigger task than you might realize, but it will pay off in the long run I know it. Below is a list of my favorite sites that actually pay either in Paypal money, Products to test or Amazon gift cards.

I hope those help you a little, if you have any questions just leave me a comment.
