Life can get crazy, especially with kids! I know all about that, trying to nurse one baby while the toddler is pulling everything out of the fridge, it’s a never ending battle. When my husband comes home, its nice to be able to hand over the baby and get a break for a moment however, handing the baby over means someone needs to feed the little man. The Kiinde Twist is a universal direct-pump breast milk collection, storage, and feeding system which makes feedings super simple and hassle free.

All you need to do is take the storage bag out of the freezer, warm, pop on the nipple and serve! It’s that simple! You can always pump into your breast pump bottles and pour milk into these storage bags or you can pump directly into the Twist bags with the handy adapters that come with your kit. The adapters are compatible with common pumps by Medela, Lansinoh, Ameda, Philips Avent, Evenflo, Tommee Tippee, Hygeia, and Playtex so you have a pretty good chance your pump has an adapter piece for this particular breast milk storage/feed system. Each breast milk bag has a place to write the important information on it such as date, time, ounces, etc and with the screw on cap you can be sure your milk is safe and secure.

Kiinde Breastfeeding Set Review

I think it’s great that you can pump directly into your storage bag, freeze, thaw and feed all with the same bag so there is no worry about spilling your breastmilk. When baby is feeding, the pouches collapse to prevent air from getting into baby’s tummy and causing discomfort. Extra storage bags are available for purchase at $7.99 for 20 – 6 ounce bags which is comparable to Lansinoh and Medela breast milk storage bags.

The Twist Starter Kit includes (20) Twist Pouches, (8) Direct-Pump adapters that are compatible with all major pump brands, (1) Keeper breastmilk storage bag holder, (2) Squeeze natural feeding bottles, (2) Slow flow Active Latch nipples with cases and (2) Nipple brushes. When you purchase the Twist breastfeeding system, you receive the storage container as well which makes it easy to store your bags in the freezer or fridge.  This storage unit helps freeze the bags quicker by freezing them flat and helps protect them from being broken or damaged. The storage unit can hold 12 full 6 oz bags of milk.

Now, for all you readers with older toddlers and kiddos, Kiinde also offers a Foodii system! You can blend your favorite fruits, vegetable, or smoothies and then pour into the large storage container. The Foodii starter kit includes (10) Foodii Squeeze Pouches, (1) Foodii Filler, (2) Snack Spouts, and (1) Squeeze Spoon. When you are ready to eat or serve simply fill the Twist pouch from the easy to pour storage container and either cap with the regular spout cap or the baby spoon top. Both my children love this they are always asking for a “pouchie!”

Kiinde also makes a warmer for their storage bags! I haven’t had the opportunity to try the warmer but it looks like it would be fabulous! If you happen to have one, let me know how you like it.
One major bonus for me is that all of the products from Kiinde are BPA-free, phthalate-free, and PVC-free which as you might know should not be around anyone let alone holding our precious baby’s food. Make sure to visit the Kiinde website to find out where you can purchase Kiinde products!
