"The Wisdom Seeker" Will Make You Cry & Give You Hope Ebook Review

Have you ever heard of the Khmer Rouge before? I didn't until I started reading this book. "The Wisdom Seeker" is an account of one woman's life living through the horrific situation in Cambodia during the late 1970's. Leng who at the time was only 11 years old, she is a survivor who shows great inspiration and hope.

During the Khmer Rouge almost 2 million lives were taken in violence, the people were so terrified of the Khmer Rouge they spoke in hushed whispers even in their huts. Fear of being found out and taken on the death march it was a constant worry.

Upon first being asked to review this book I didn't know what to expect, as I said I had honestly never heard about the Khmer Rouge before. As soon as I opened this book and began reading I was hooked, it is a real page turner, it will capture your and captivate you. To try to imagine what these people had to endure is nothing short of heartbreaking and for Leng to come out of that situation with so much hope it is amazing.

Living in the United States and having freedom & protection I think it's very easy to forget how horrible other parts of the world can be for its inhabitants. This is a very enlightening book, and I for one feel blessed to have been asked to review it.

You can pick this up in either "real" book print or ebook depending on your preference, from Amazon and I highly suggest adding this to your must read list, I can almost guarantee you won't regret it.
