Give Your Kids A Good Video Game To Play With The Scripture Hero App For The iPhone

Have you ever taken a close look at the video games and apps your children play today? Most of them are filled with mindless violence and zombies and are really not appropriate for learning minds and growing children. Most games today teach violence, hatred and that being different is a bad thing, what ever happened to teaching children morals and treating others with respect?

I guess it was about a year ago my husband and I pulled every video game system out of our house because they were turning our oldest into a mindless zombie. All he would talk about was video games, he could not figure out how to play with kids or toys like a typical 8 year old, and he was on time limits when playing his video games. It goes to show that even the shortest amount of time with these brain killing devices can be harmful.

Before you label me as a video game hating mother, let me explain I do feel CERTAIN video games have a place in a child's development and they can actually be beneficial, IF you are allowing the correct games. When I found out about the new app for the iPhone, "Scripture Hero" I was super excited to try it out.

The purpose of the game is to navigate your hero through a world by memorizing and reading uplifting scriptures from the Bible. This app is educational and also can show your children how to treat others by reading and even memorizing the scriptures. Now, if you are not a religious person or on the same page as the scriptures I can see where this game might not be for you or your children, however, if you believe in the scriptures and you want a wholesome, non violent, fun game that will teach your children then this is recommended for you.

This app is available through the iTunes store and on any Apple device.
