Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub Review

Typically when I hear the words "Mineral Skin Care" and "Dead Sea Salt Scrub" I tend to think more natural products, well, today I was proven incorrect. I was send a jar of Adovia's Dead Sea Salt Scrub to try and review and I am very sad to say I didn't even dip a finger into the scrub, I first read the ingredient list...Allow me to share them with you...

"Sea salt, paraffinum liquidum, Dead Sea salt, apricot (prunus armeniaca) kernel oil, avocado (preseason gratis sims) oil, isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, sweet almond (prunus amygdalus Dulce's) oil, fragrance, propylene glycol & aloe Vera gel & jojoba (buxus chinensis) extract & ginseng (panax ginseng) extract & chamomile (anthem nobillis) extract & papaya (caricature papaya) extract, grape (vitis vinifera) seed oil, iocopheryl acetate, algae extract, sesame (sesamum indicum) oil, may contain d&c yellow #10, fd&c blue #1, fd&c red #4"

Now, take a good look at those ingredients with I have highlighted, those ingredients are listed as hazardous on the EWG website. The propylene glycol has been in the media recently as the cause of liver bleeds causing death among dogs because it was an ingredient in their food. While you may not be ingesting these ingredients (at least not in this product but I can bet at some point in time you are) do you really think these hazardous ingredients should be so close to your eyes, nose, mouth or body in general? For me personally the answer is no, while each person will have their own feelings about this mine are strong, I prefer to keep the products used in my home natural and organic and limited to ingredients I can say and recognize where they came from and what they do without the need of a dictionary and possibly a translator.

You can find this product on Amazon for $12.95 if you wish to purchase it and make your own decisions about it.
