Let's Make Some Homemade Sweet Pickles #Recipe

Do you have a lot of cucumbers laying around from your garden this year? Maybe you just love pickles, or you could be like me...19 weeks pregnant and all I want to eat are pickles all day everyday! (This last thought can be expensive) So, thanks to a good friend of mine I acquired a recipe to make my own sweet pickles and let me say (without tooting my own horn) these pickles are SO yummy! I simply had to share!

Ingredients ~ You will need:

*10-12 cucumbers, sliced which ever way you prefer. I did penny slices and spears
* 5 onions,sliced (I don't like a lot of onions so I used less, I only used 1)
* 4 cups sugar
* 3 cups vinegar
* 3 tablespoons salt
* 1 heaping teaspoon each of celery seed, dry mustard and turmeric

What you need to do:

* Place your sliced cucumbers and onions evenly in mason jars (or any other glass jars you have)

* Mix the vinegar, salt, sugar, and spices until dissolved.
* Bring to a boil. Then pour evenly over the sliced cucumbers and onions in you jars or gallon container.

* Shake once a day for 7 days. These should be in the fridge. These will also keep for a few weeks in the fridge.

If you try this recipe let me know what you think or if you changed it at all for your specific likes. :)
