Busy Life? Can You Dedicate Just "5 Minutes With Jesus" #Review

We all have such busy lifestyles anymore between school age kids and homework and sport, working a full time job, making dinner, caring for the home, and all the other things that take our attention during the course of a 24 hour period, it can be very difficult to take time out just for ourselves, let alone for Jesus. It is vital though in order to build a happy and successful relationship we must work on that relationship and work on building it each and every day and yet somehow our relationship with Jesus seems to get pushed off to the side to sit and wait for Sunday to roll around. (And that is if He is lucky and we don't have anything come up on Sunday.)

It's really sad that so many people, myself included spend more time reading their Bible and talking with Jesus during that hour of church than we do all the other hours in the week. This book "5 Minutes With Jesus" by Sheila Walsh is meant to help those of us who find it difficult to dedicate time to spending with Jesus. This book is filled with wonderful and short quotes from the Bible verses themselves, meant to invoke and invite conversations with our Lord.

Jesus loves when we talk to Him and go to Him with all our needs, problems, and praises so why not allow Him all the pleasures by communicating with him daily, even if it is for 5 minutes at a time. Just think you could go to the restroom and sit and talk with Jesus for those 5 minutes, and I assure you like anything else those 5 minutes throughout the day will add up and before you know it you will be sharing your life with Jesus.

With excerpts like...

"The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth." Psalm 145:18

"I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope." Acts 2:25-26

It is super easy to see how this book can help build a loving and communicative relationship with Jesus in just a few minutes a day. Isn't Jesus worth taking a time out for?
