A Search for Truth - BookLook Blogger #Review

When was the last time the Bible was revised? Science is always being revised and theories/hypotheses updated as we learn more or discover errors in the concepts. Not to mention there are just some things that have happened or will happen that science simply cannot explain, so how else would you explain it?

Does something exist or not exist based on our beliefs in it? If you see a man with long dingy hair do you say barbers do not exist, because if they did there would be no men running around with long dingy hair? No, barbers do exist it is just those men with long dingy hair are not going to them. The same can be said for God, God does exist but the evil in the world happens because people deny God, giving Satan a foot hold.

During the start of the book when the author dives into Plato’s approach as to whether God is real or not really was confusing and in my opinion pointless, you cannot determine if God exists or not based on a series of numbers or mathematical equations.

The void concept really made me think of a quote from another book I recently read by C.S. Lewis “God designed the human machine to run on Himself. He Himself is the fuel our spirits were designed to burn, or the food our spirits were designed to feed on. There is no other.” This would make this theory of having a void inside us that only God can fill a valid point.

The author uses some very valid and informative resources in his writing. C.S Lewis for one example is a well-respected author and Christian. The author makes valid points backed with opinions from personal experiences and facts as well.

I like how this book also comes with a scriptural based Bible study. That way you can see throughout the Bible ways to show God does in fact exist. The study is broken into 11 chapters, which also coincide with the chapters in the book. This book is one I would personally love to see being done in a small group, that way whether you believe or not you can broaden your knowledge not only of God but also the Bible and strengthen your faith in Him. This book is amazing and I am so thankful I was able read it.

What would be better, having the belief in God and trusting in Him and know when your days end you will reside in Heaven for eternity, or would you rather wander through life not knowing what comes next? Tis better to be safe than sorry.
