Maverick has had a fascination for phones ever since he was little, so when our new "On The Go Phone" arrived it was no shock he took it before I could even open it completely. This phone is really cute and it's made for the younger kids which is a nice feature. I believe the age listed on The Learning Journey International site says 3+ months which would be about right if you ask me. There are no small pieces and the phone itself is one continuous plastic piece with large push buttons to play music and sounds with.
The phone does not have a volume control like most children's toys, which I can see why it doesn't because the sounds/music that it plays are very low. This can be a pro or it can be a con, for me personally I wish it was a bit louder, unless the phone is right by your ear you have a hard time hearing it. I suppose this could be good though so it doesn't hurt the kiddos' ears and so it doesn't drive parents crazy. (We all have those toys in our house that we pray the batteries die sooner rather than later, right?)
The price on this item is listed at $7.99 from the website, which is pretty reasonable if you ask me. I probably wouldn't pay much more than that, it is a simple designed toy which matches the price tag. This would make a cute stocking stuffer gift or a birthday gift in my opinion.
You can pick up your On The Go Phone from The Learning Journey International website for only $7.99. The company sells many other products as well that look like fun and educational toys and the best part is all their prices are super reasonable.
