"The Colson Way" Loving Your Neighbor & Living with Faith in a Hostile World" by Owen Strachan can and should be a book we as Christians turn to in order to learn how to live with people who might not be so easy to love or handle. Mr. Strachan is associate professor of Christian Theology and director of the Center on Gospel & Culture at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. He has written seven books total, and after reading this one I am certainly looking into his other works as well.
I don't think I can sum up this book better than the person who wrote the summary on Amazon...so allow me to share it with you...
"Live with a bold and loving faith in the public square
Chuck Colson’s life reveals that there is no division between truth and love, between embracing biblical guidance and loving one’s neighbor. The Colson Way uses Colson’s legacy and wisdom to show Christians a way of living a public faith with conviction and generosity toward all."
At first I had a hard time getting through the introduction of this book, it is like any other book's intro you get the boring parts out of the way, but once you dive into the actual book this is a non stop page turner and it helped me in so many ways. I am not typically a person who can accept, love or even tolerate many people especially those who do wrong to me or those I care about but this book really helped me to realize I should pray to God for the strength to love and accept just as Jesus has done. I highly recommend this book to anyone who might be in the same boat I am/was.
You can find "The Colson Way" on Amazon in a variety of formats...chose your favorite.
